Has anybody ever successfully streamed using the hd60? It simply doesn't work why is it advertised to do so? I'm on the line deciding if I should return it to amazon, in hope that I'm gonna find some way for it to work. If only it didn't fall out of sync after 10-20 minutes of stream everything would be golden.

The game capture hd software is just so lacking compared to those and for some reason it says my comp isn't powerful enough to stream 1080p and 30fps with webcam on, even though when i do it through OBS my cpu is only at like 30% usage. I bought it on black friday specifically to stream through twitch using OBS or some kind of software that will let me add other window captures and stuff like that but from what I'm reading the sync issues are happening no matter what software you use ( not sure about its original software). It hasn't changed anything for me with OBS ( not sure if its supposed to or if it only fixes the game capture HD software) I tried streaming last night and after getting it synced it goes off again after 20 minutes. The device doesn't really work for me with OBS, guess I will return it. The source audio seems to completely ignored. Even if I disconnect the audio cable completely from the device, I can still hear it. Instead, I could hear some strange crackling noise from time to time when their grabber software was running in the background. So analog audio capture didn't work at all, Windows doesn't list any additional audio recording device. Changed the audio to (disabled) in the OBS source configuration and I got at least my picture back. After about 20 minutes of restarting, rebooting and reinstalling I learned, that it doesn't like it when I try to capture it's audio in OBS.

The original Game Capture HD already has its own fair share of issues, with mediocre driver support. The preview window in their software alone seems to eat up about half of my CPU!Īfter fiddeling around with it for about 2h, it gives back "No device." as captured image. 1080p60 over USB 2.0 sounds like a nightmare in the making for third-party software like OBS. Here is the result from the recording: HD60/elgato_hd60_59.94fps_test.mp4īTW: The video decoding from Elgato does not seem to take advantage of any hardware decoding. Inside OBS, the received video from the video capture device already shows severe hickups (aside from the A/V-delay) and is anything than smooth.
